The only issue we could find was evidence of an impact on the front corner of the camera. (See picture) There is some slight cracking of the surface, but it is mostly cosmetic. In the world of instant photography this Polaroid SX-70 Alpha 1 is kind of the Holy Grail. It was the first instant camera that also used integral film. The camera was first introduced in 1972.
The Alpha 1 had a few extra design features, they include. Integral camera strap lugs (camera strap is included). A threaded tripod socket on the bottom of the camera.
A matte finish on the metal frame of the camera body. SX-70's were the top of the line Polaroids, featuring a strong metal. Body, a tack sharp 116mm f/8 lens, a short 10.4 inch minimum focal distance, a shutter speed range from 1/175s to 10-seconds, an exposure control wheel, and fully manual focus. This camera was a mastery of engineering, made the most beautiful instant-images of it's time, and remains notorious and widely used today because of these properties. If you are a collector/photographer who loves the whole Polaroid concept, this beautiful SX-70 Alpha 1 will be a wonderful, and useful, addition to your collection.
