Superb Polaroid SX70 Model 3 Land Camera. Fully Film Tested

  
Hi welcome to my listing.... Rare Polaroid SX 70 Land Camera Model 3.

SX-70 LAND CAMERA MODEL 3. SX-70 foldable Polaroid camera type. 4-element glass lens, 116 mm, f/8. Manual distance setting - non SLR.

10.4-inch (26 cm) minimum focusing distance. Lighten / darken control setting possibility. Skins not in mint condition (but acceptable) as it mostly is with these models. The SX-70 is a folding Land Camera produced between 1972 and 1977. It was the first instant SLR in history, and the first camera to use Polaroid's new integral print film, which developed automatically without the need for intervention from the photographer.

This was revolutionary at the time, and a predecessor to the later 600 and Spectra films. This model also features an electronically controlled'flash-bar' socket across the top of the camera, for insertion of a 10-times use flashbulb unit. Polaroid - as well as other companies - made external flash units that plugged into this socket. The camera comes with Actual photo taken 1.4.2021 with this camera. Old film = Dead Battery and no images.

New film has shelf life of only 2-3years if stored in the fridge. Overall in very good condition considering its 46 years of age. Tested with NEW film, and Flash bar, always use a flash for close and indoor photos. SX70 film available from Polaroid and other retailers.

Motor and shutter appear to work as it should and is nice and smooth in operation. The bellows are in good condition. Has been unused in my collection for a while, film is readily available from Polaroid or online retailers.

This was a revolutionary product that changed photography for years and is still a round today. Hoping someone will appreciate this as much as I have. I have been as honest as possible, many thanks for looking. This is reliant on the photographer and film loaded. These cameras need to be mastered over time.
