RARE Polaroid Street Photo 636 NightCam Instant Film Camera Modified Used Vtg. Please review all photos and read entire listing description. General info about this model: This is an extremely rare camera from circa 2002. It started out life as a plastic box-type camera (probably a 600 Business Edition 2) which was then modified for nighttime photography.

This model is slightly more common than the 636DE, but still incredibly scarce. The modifications for the NightCam include: a switch which allows you to select between 8 different shutter speeds (time aperture is open) ranging from. 5 seconds to 8 seconds (plus a "normal" option which allows the camera to select the appropriate shutter speed based on its light meter). Additionally, sockets for a tripod and cable release have been added to the camera. This is NOT an autofocus camera!

By default, the depth of field (area in focus) is 4ft - infinity but you can also toggle a "close-up" lens which allows you to focus on subjects between 2ft-4ft. The lens is made of plastic. Note that, counterintuitively, the camera's flash will fire by default even when selecting one of the extended/timed exposure settings... The gray portion of the shutter trigger.

Condition of this camera (serial number : ED6 3AN3W CH HJ): Aesthetically, this camera is in good condition, with minor scuffs/signs of use but no major cosmetic flaws (see photos). Functionally, I tested this camera with film: when a film pack is inserted, it correctly ejects the darkslide, and will take photos when the shutter button is pressed. It does not appear to be adjusting the time correctly based on the settings I tested. Please also note that this camera. However, based on my experience using a different NightCam, if you use a cable release the flash is not suppressed anyway which somewhat defeats the purpose of using a camera for long/low light exposures!
