Have examined a previously open box 809 from same batch (Jun93) to check the Pods on the white receiver sheet - pods appeared good - maintaining their integrity (ie, not discoloured or leaking) and are flexible/pliable to touch (gel has not solidified). Dont necessarily expect image perfection but rather your chance to experience part of Polaroids history and the unique nuances of expired 809.

I have spoken to Polaroid Originals and other Large format specialists; by Polaroids own admission the original 809 can not be replicated by modern day 8 x 10 stock (in part for the chemicals used no longer licensed, collapse of Polaroid's supply chain and dismantling of manufacturing machinery). In their experience they suggested to tips to get the most from the film. Gently massage the pods before shooting.

Shoot film between 21-27 degrees centigrade at time of use. Consider longer exposure times (x2, x3). In the unlikely event, the pods in the sealed box are unusable.
